Business Manager's Report - May

The work in the local is really starting to pick up and we do expect to still have a very busy work season.  The A.E.R. project in Sudbury has just started and will be completeD in 2015.  The peak time for work at this project will be from March 2013 to the end of 2014.  Recently it was announced that the new Chromite smelter will be located in the Sudbury area which should bring alot of work ot our members.  Some of the aniticipated Hydro projects have been put on hold for now but we still expect to be busy in that sector.  There are many other projects that should be awarded soon in the North Bay and Sudbury areas.

The trustees recently approved  improvements to the Health and Welfare plan and you should have received a letter varifying that.  If you have not received it than please call us so we can inform you of the changes.  Please note that the regular membership meeting will be held on June 12th and not on the 20th.
